How to Get Here
Fly from Manila to Cagayan De Oro, using Cebu Pacific or Philippine airlines, cost about 4000 ph. The are vans leaving the Iligan airport to Cagayan 200 ph, about a one hour drive. Buses to Claveria, Misamis Oriental, depart from the Agora Bus Terminal in Cagayan de Oro City. You can also find vans to Claveria at or near the Agora terminal. We may pick you up at the airport if we have a reason to go to the city. From the Claveria terminal, there are tricycles to the Janopolan Swimming Pool but we will pick you up in the van at the Claveria terminal.

About Claveria
A small town, in the mountains at 900 meters above sea level. Lots of rain as it is close to the ocean. It takes 10 minutes to drive from the Hive Community to town and tricycles are constant except at night. Her foreigners get a some celebrity status as there are ,
Claveria Climate
At 980 meters above sea level, the temperature is moderated to almost perfect. It is rare to need a jacket, or long pants, one blanket is all u need for sleeping and on occasion 2 blankets. It can get hot in town in the day time, but here is the forests it is cool all the time, never need and air-conditioned and a small fan on low is the most you need and only for a hour if it is hot. As it is near the ocean, cloud cover keeps coolness. It does get rainy but that is good for the garden. I have lived at many altitudes much higher, but this is my favorite. The perfect eternal spring.
Visa Renewals
In Cagayan de Oro, it takes 2 hours by bus or drive about 1 hour 20 minutes. Renewals are for 2 months, and can be extended for over 3 years, after which a one day trip out of the country restarts the process. The cost varies, about 30 Au a month. Can be performed by a representative. Service available. Usually only one or two people in the line, and it takes about 30 minutes.
ATMs
Most local bank machines in Claveria accept international cards.
Safety
Traffic in the city is chaotic and requires attention. In Claveria no breakins, pick pockets, gun or weapon crimes. It is a very safe area.
Driving
U can drive with an foreign license for 90 days. U can apply for a PH license with a resident card which requires 60 days in the PH before applying.
